Fall is on the doorstep in Charlotte. That means its time to pack the family into the car and head to a pumpkin patch for fall decorations, photos, and of course, big orange pumpkins.
This year, it might be difficult to figure out which ones are open and which ones aren’t. We checked and these places are indeed open in 2020. While you will have to follow COVID-19 safety protocols like wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing, you can enjoy these pumpkin patches near Charlotte this year.
Located three miles south of I-485 in Weddington, Hunter Farm is a great option for families on the hunt for their ideal pumpkin. The farm offers wagon rides and a petting barn in addition to its pumpkin patch.
They are open but they have limited capacity on shuttle rides. You can make a reservation for rides on their website.

Wise Acres Organics
Wise Acres Organics has a pumpkin patch located just a few miles southeast of Charlotte in Indian Trail. As its name suggests, it’s a USDA Certified Organic farm so fans of organic produce might want to seek this one out first. The site also offers a sunhemp maze and their very own wood-fired pizza kitchen.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, their fall activities are by reservation only. You can reserve your tour package on their website.

It’s unofficially one of the largest pumpkin patches near Charlotte.
There is currently no reservation required to visit. However, some of their activities may be restricted due to COVID-19 precautions.
