Summer is now in full swing, and although some of the events we’ve looked forward to may be canceled, car shows and meets are just starting back up! These mostly open air events are a great way spend an afternoon, meet people and check out some cool cars.
Below is a list of five upcoming car shows and meets happening in North Carolina. This list is in no particular order, but please note dates and times are subject to change. Additionally, some of the events may have an entry fee.
1. Outlaw Drag Wars
The Outlaw Drag Wars will take place in Concord, NC on July 10. Outlaw Drag Wars is a weekly drag racing event featuring drag race burnout contests. You can even bring your own car to see how it matches up, you will need a helmet which can be rented on site. You should expect a $30 entrance fee to race and $10 to spectate.

2. Moonshine Valley F-100’s All Ford Truck Show
Maggie Valley, NC will host this truck show on July 17-18. The title says it all! This event is an exclusively F-100 meet. You can expect to see people bringing their classic F-100’s from all over.

3. Cars and Coffee
This Cars and Coffee event is free and will take place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on July 18. It’s a free cruise-in meet where you can show up in whatever you want and have a good time.

4. Outlaw Drag Wars
The Charlotte Motor Speedway will host a second Outlaw Drag Wars on July 31. If you can’t attend the July 10 Outlaw Drag Wars or just want to go again, here’s your chance! This end of July Friday night drag racing is sure to kick off your weekend right. Same fees apply as the previous Outlaw Drag Wars event.

5. The Raleigh Classic
The Raleigh Classic will take place August 21-22 in Youngsville, NC. This show and auction boasts a collection of mint-condition vintage cars.
