Haunted Attractions Near the Triangle Open in 2020

Looking for the best places to get your thrills this Halloween season? You might be wondering if your favorite haunted trails or houses of horror are open this year. Have no fear. Not only are these haunted attractions near the Triangle open for Fall 2020, they’re a terrifyingly good time.

Granville Haunt Farm — Oxford

Located about an hour north of Durham up 15-501 in Oxford, Granville Haunt Farm has made their haunted attraction into a socially-distant drive-through event. The attraction features actors and plenty of scary sites for thrills by the car load.

Open Fridays and Saturdays in October from 6:30 p.m. — 10:30 p.m. $10-$60 per car depending on how many passengers are in your vehicle.

Clayton Fear Farm — Clayton

Just east of Raleigh in Clayton, Clayton Fear Farm offers two attractions in 2020: the Haunted Maze and the Haunted Hayride. The eight-acre haunted maze is a terrifying puzzle. Clayton Fear Farm describes the Haunted Hayride as “the longest 20 minutes of your life.” All customers and staff are required to wear masks.

Open Oct. 2-31. Call or check the farm’s website for days and times. Admission is $13-$27 per person.

Haunted Forest at Panic Point – Youngsville

Located north of Wake Forest in Youngsville, Haunted Forest at Panic Point is one of the most popular haunted attractions near the Triangle. This year, they’ve instituted state-approved COVID-19 safety protocols.

Haunted Forest at Panic Point does not admit children under eight. Kids aged nine to 12 must have an adult with them. Open Sept. 25-Nov. 7. Admission is $27.50-$35.

Darkside Haunted Estates – Middlesex

Located east of Raleigh in Middlesex, this haunted attraction near the Triangle has been running for more than 20 years. Darkside Haunted Estates offers a plethora of haunted experiences for guests. In addition, they’ve implemented COVID-19 safety precautions in the attraction.

Open on Fridays and Saturdays from Sept. 26 to Nov. 7, 6:30 p.m. — 10 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults and $12 for kids 10 and under.
